That&#8217;s a far cry from the inflation apocalypse narrative pushed by leftist corporate media and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/markets\/umich-sentiment-surges-higher-early-june-tariff-derangement-sydrome-remains\">Michigan sentiment surveys<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/business.adobe.com\/resources\/digital-price-index.html\">Adobe Digital Price Index<\/a>\u2014an Adobe Analytics\u2013powered inflation gauge that tracks online prices, similar to the CPI but focused on digital commerce\u2014printed at -2.09% year-over-year in June. Categories such as apparel (-7.68%), electronics (-2.66% YoY), and groceries (-2.04% YoY) all experienced deflation.<\/p>\n<p><a data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2025-07-14_07-15-10.png?itok=_Er15Sla\" data-link-option=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2025-07-14_07-15-10.png?itok=_Er15Sla\"><picture><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"01f1b882-a345-4e81-81f6-2619376f4808\" data-responsive-image-style=\"inline_images\" height=\"305\" width=\"500\" class=\"inline-images image-style-inline-images\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.zerohedge.com\/s3fs-public\/styles\/inline_image_mobile\/public\/inline-images\/2025-07-14_07-15-10.png?itok=_Er15Sla\" alt=\"\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\"><\/picture><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Looking at subcategories within electronics, computer prices fell 10.73% YoY in June. Given that much of the global computer supply chain is based in China, one might have expected prices to surge amid the ongoing U.S.-China trade war\u2014but that hasn&#8217;t materialized (yet).\u00a0<\/p>\n<div id=\"in-content-video\" class=\"video\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"in-content-1\" class=\"in-content\"><\/div>\n<p><a data-image-external-href=\"\" data-image-href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2025-07-14_07-07-53.png?itok=-ItAMx_t\" data-link-option=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/s3\/files\/inline-images\/2025-07-14_07-07-53.png?itok=-ItAMx_t\"><picture><\/picture><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile,\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/markets\/umich-sentiment-surges-higher-early-june-tariff-derangement-sydrome-remains\">UMich survey<\/a> of deranged Democrats&#8230;\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/markets\/umich-sentiment-surges-higher-early-june-tariff-derangement-sydrome-remains\"><em>&#8216;Tariff Derangement Sydrome&#8217; Remains As UMich Sentiment Surges In Early June<\/em><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" xml:lang=\"en\">UMich marxists will not be happy: &#8220;evidence suggests that the tariff effects look a bit smaller than we expected, other disinflationary forces have been stronger, and we suspect that the Fed leadership shares our view that tariffs will only have a one-time price level effect&#8221;-GS<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 zerohedge (@zerohedge) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/zerohedge\/status\/1940232118711591047?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 2, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Looking ahead, Goldman analyst\u00a0Giulio Esposito expects tomorrow&#8217;s CPI print around .23% month-over-month increase in June core CPI, vs consensus at +.3%, corresponding to a YoY rate of 2.93% (vs 3.% cons).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Going forward, the team does expect tariffs to provide a somewhat larger boost to monthly inflation, expecting monthly core CPI between 0.3% and 0.4% over the next few months,&#8221;\u00a0Esposito noted.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div id=\"in-content-2\" class=\"in-content\"><\/div>\n<p>Back to the Adobe data\u2014either demand for electronics is sliding, or vendors are cutting their margins to absorb tariffs.
